South Pasadena High School Students Make Strong Showing at 2018 Expressing Feelings Through Art Competition

South Pasadena Unified School District congratulates SPHS freshman, Madeleine Yoo, for winning first place in the 2018 “Expressing Feelings Through Art” (EFTA) competition sponsored by the Light Bringer Project at Art Center College of Design. David Perez Espinosa (11th grade) also won a scholarship for a summer Art Center College of Design class and Harper McCallie (12th grade) won Honorable Mention in the same competition.

In all, 12 SPHS students juried into this exhibition, led by art teachers Rouzanna Berberian and Aimee Levie-Hultman. They are:

The EFTA program seeks to provide high school students with an opportunity to explore their personal feelings, strengthen their creative voices, and to acknowledge their success in a community setting. An exhibition and awards ceremony will be held Sunday, May 20 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Art Center South Campus, 950 S. Raymond Avenue in Pasadena. All are welcome to attend.
