Southwestern Academy Students Visit San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Southwestern Academy students recently enjoyed a day of adventure down in the San Diego area. They explored the Safari Park and got to see some fun animals. Visiting the zoo is a great way to engage the students outside of the classroom and allow them to enjoy a hands-on learning experience together. The students ask animal keepers and zoo staff questions about the animals too.

The San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park is one of the San Diego’s biggest attractions, welcoming over five million visitors a year to explore its 100 acres of exhibits and habits that are home to over 3,700 different animals. It’s known as one of the best zoos in the country for its outstanding conservation program, friendly staff, and the wide variety of over 700 unique species and subspecies it cares for.

Southwestern Academy thanks Ms. Jacobs for the pictures!
