St. Francis High School Presents “Growing Pains” A Counseling Event for Freshman Parents



Join St. Francis Guidance and Counseling Department for an educational presentation about the development of the male adolescent brain, how it influences academic and social behavior, and how you can support your teen during these formative years.

Featured Guest Speaker is Paul A. Royer, LCSW. Paul A. Royer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Pasadena. He has been providing individual and family therapy in the area for the past 25 years. Paul completed his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his Masters in Social Work at San Diego State University. Upon moving to the San Gabriel Valley, he was the Clinical Director of the Youth Services Program at Las Encinas Hospital. Paul has worked with any of the schools in the area providing parental support groups and student evaluations. He specializes in helping families deal with substance use and communication problems, as well as “acting out” teen behavior
