St. Francis High School to Hold Community Service Activities this Fall

St. Francis High School will hold several community service activities this Fall 2013.

Students may volunteer in making sandwiches for Las Familias del Pueblo, a community center in Skid Row, every first Wednesday of of the month.

St. Francis is also organizing a feeding program in Ascencia Shelter at 437 Fernando Court, Glendale. Students will be helping in the preparation and serving of meals to the homeless and extremely low-income individuals and families in downtown Los Angeles. The school will organize trips for groups of seven students every Thursday starting mid-October from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Registration for both activities can be done in the high school’s Franciscan Spirit and Life Center.

St. Francis will also hold a feeding program at the Union Station Homeless Services, 825 E. orange Grove Blvd. from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, call (626) 240-4594 or email
