Students may volunteer in making sandwiches for Las Familias del Pueblo, a community center in Skid Row, every first Wednesday of of the month.
St. Francis is also organizing a feeding program in Ascencia Shelter at 437 Fernando Court, Glendale. Students will be helping in the preparation and serving of meals to the homeless and extremely low-income individuals and families in downtown Los Angeles. The school will organize trips for groups of seven students every Thursday starting mid-October from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Registration for both activities can be done in the high school’s Franciscan Spirit and Life Center.
St. Francis will also hold a feeding program at the Union Station Homeless Services, 825 E. orange Grove Blvd. from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information, call (626) 240-4594 or email email@example.com.
