St. Philip the Apostle Boy Scout Troop 131 is pleased to announce that Ethan Gray has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Ethan’s Eagle Project Beneficiary was St. Lawrence of Brindisi School in Watts.

The project was to assemble thirty LEGO Creative Kits to promote STEM Education for Kindergarten, First and Second Graders. Each kit had 200 pieces of LEGO and challenge cards for teachers to inspire the students. All of the LEGO was donated by families from St. Philip the Apostle School, Boy Scout Troop 131, St. Francis High School, and Swim Pasadena.

The goal of the project is to spark an interest in STEM education and allow the kids to develop their creative, communication and collaboration skills.

Boy Scout Troop 131 is a Parish Ministry at St. Philip the Apostle Church and membership is open to all Boys in the Parish Community.
