St. Philip’s Annual Thanksgiving Continues as St. Philip 7th Graders Lead a Food Drive



The theme this year is “Giving Thanks by Giving” because St. Philip the Apostle School wants to give thanks to God by giving back to those in need. The school is asking students from each class to participate by donating the food items requested on the following list:

Kindergarten: POTATOES – fresh POTATOES, turn in Monday, November 24th/INSTANT POTATOES anytime before
First Grade : STUFFING
Second Grade : BROTH (Turkey/Chicken-Low Sodium), AND GRAVY
Third Grade : CANNED CRANBERRY SAUCE
Fourth Grade : CANNED CORN
Fifth Grade : CANNED GREEN BEANS
Sixth Grade : CAKE MIX/ CORN BREAD MIX
Seventh Grade : ROLLS (perishable – please turn in Monday, November 24
Eighth Grade : YAMS, OTHER CANNED VEGETABLES AND SOUP(low sodium)

Turkeys will be donated by parishioners.

Collection bins will be in each classroom during the month of November. The goal is to
serve over 40 families this year.
