The 2015 Odyssey Parent Participation Group (OPPG) Fall Festival Celebrates the Season with its Third Annual All-Outdoor Carnival-Themed Community Event

On Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the 2015 OPPG Fall Festival, at Odyssey Charter School, invites all to celebrate the fall harvest, and many activities, such as a pumpkin patch, hay maze, and pie baking contest, at this third annual all-outdoor community event.

During this family-friendly special event, treats will be on sale from Rita’s Italian Ice, as well as drinks, cotton candy, popcorn, and more for sale. The event will feature activities, such as pumpkin carving, face painting, and the popular “Frankenstuffies”, comprised of stuffed animals that kids create by choosing parts to be sewn together to create unique, fun toys.

The 2015 OPPG Fall Festival was created primarily to celebrate community, offering all ages an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy seasonal activities. Proceeds from the Fall Festival will benefit the Odyssey Parent Participation Group (OPPG), which exists to support the school campus and classroom development and enrichment opportunities.

“OPPG’s Fall Festival has something for everyone. There are games for kids, pumpkin carving with a Disney carver, local vendors selling a variety of goods, such as handcrafted jewelry, note cards, and even pickles,” said Jen Kert-Ransweiler, Fall Festival Organizer and OPPG Member at Odyssey Charter School. She added, “Come get lost in our hay maze, enjoy an Italian Ice from Rita’s, or some cotton candy, and mingle… and perhaps dunk a teacher in our dunk tank!”

The 2015 OPPG Fall Festival, at Odyssey Charter School, located at 725 W. Altadena Drive, Altadena, will also offer a bouncer, pumpkin art, and treats for sale. All ages are welcome to celebrate the season, and enjoy many fun, family-friendly games and activities. Admission to the Fall Festival is free. Activity and food tickets are $1.00 each, and can be purchased on the day of the event by cash, check, or credit card. For more information, please visit www.odysseycharterschool.org.
