Through a variety of curricular and co-curricular opportunities, Maranatha High School (MHS) students are afforded a venue to explore their creative nature under the tutelage of talented instructors in a collaborative environment.

Maranatha’s performing arts students learn about artistic and creative expression, interpretation, production and directing, aesthetic review, the historical and cultural context of theater and music, and connections to performing arts in careers. Its drama, dance, choir, and orchestra have the privilege to regularly perform in the renowned Ambassador Auditorium, host of the Pasadena Symphony and Pasadena Pops.

MHS’ progressive four-year Visual Arts program is designed to give the student a thorough exposure to both the production and history of art and to enhance his or her unique, God-given creativity. The art classrooms, photo studio/lab, and Mac Lab, as well as its beautiful campus setting, all aid in this endeavor. Maranatha artists are often showcased in the community and have won first place in many competitions.

While seeking to nurture an enduring love for and an appreciation of the arts through musical performance, theater, dance, and the visual arts, The Arts at Maranatha also seeks to explore God’s creation and reveal His nature. Honoring Him with acts of worship through the gifts and talents He has given allows students to use these gifts for his glory.
