The Christmas Spirit Comes Early at Assumption

Assumption students believe in living their faith.  In its 8th year, the students, families, and staff work with the Samaritan’s Purse organization to provide Christmas gifts to children across the world living in poverty conditions.  Operation Christmas Child (OCC) as it is called, sends a shoe box filled with gifts and needed items to individual children who seldom, if ever, receive anything new, needed or fun during the holiday season.  Students spend “hands on time” filling these individual boxes, which they have personally decorated.  They also include a personal letter.  The goal is to send 150 boxes — spreading the gifts of Jesus and generosity.
