The Gooden School and The Gooden Family Association: Community Coffee with Dr. Tina Payne Bryson

On Wednesday, November 18, The Gooden School along with the Gooden Family Association (GFA) invited the community to an evening with Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, at the Gooden School in Sierra Madre. In this workshop, Dr. Bryson demystified children’s meltdowns and aggravation. Dr. Bryson was a fantastic speaker who explained in a clear and practical way the new science of how a child’s brain is wired and how it matures. She used stories and humor to introduce parents to 12 Whole-Brain strategies for parents.

According to Dr. Bryson, by applying these practical strategies to our everyday lives, parents can turn outbursts, arguments, and fears into opportunities to integrate their child’s brain with positive attitudes that foster vital growth. The result is children who are happier, healthier, and more fully themselves. Dr. Bryson signed books and DVD’s following the program.
