VADA Students Make Clean Sweep at Hollywood Burbank Airport Student Tower Banner Competition



Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) feeling the LOVE once again, with another sweep of the Hollywood Burbank Airport student tower banner competition. This years theme, “The future of aviation”.

Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) is thrilled to present its Pasadena Unified School District winners for the 2020 Burbank Airport Authority Tower Banner Contest.

The winners were selected by an arts committee at the district, and then ranked by the City of Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission committee, and approved by the full Arts & Culture Commission at their Monday, February 10 meeting.

The winners are:
1st place: Guided by Nature: Yenifer Diaz
2nd place: Clear Flight: Kathy Quiroz
3rd place: Wright into the Future: Leila Jimenez

“We look forward to celebrating these artists at the Airport Authority meeting in April.”

PUSD Arts extends its congratulations to the student winners.

The Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) in Creative Arts Media and Design (CAMAD) at Pasadena High School is a studio arts focused program within PUSD. Students explore traditional and digital media cross curricular integrated projects and daily studio practice.
