Walden School's Big Help Day

Published : Wednesday, May 2, 2018 | 2:50 PM

Walden School thanks all the families and faculty & staff members who got up early Saturday morning to participate in Big Help Day! Lower Core students painted pots and planted succulents which they hand-delivered to residents at Monte Vista Grove Homes along with a song.

Meanwhile, Middle Core families worked together to clean up an area of the LA River near Elysian Park. Upper Core got in on the action by writing thank you cards to the small business owners they interviewed as part of their ethnography project, and produced more stories for the The Library of Congress with the StoryCorps app. It was a wonderful day of service and coming together as a community!
