Waverly First Grader Veronica and Alumna Kelsey Boesche ’94 Star Together in an Upcoming Production of Madama Butterfly

Waverly first grader Veronica and alumna Kelsey Boesche (a Waverly first grader in 1994!) star together in an upcoming production of Madama Butterfly on September 19 and 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

Kelsey plays the title role of Butterfly and Veronica plays her daughter, Sorrow, in Puccini’s famous opera of love and despair. Other Waverly community members involved in the production are Mandy Boesche (Director), Maria Robertson (catering the gala opening night cocktail reception), former parent Escott Norton (Executive Producer), and high school students Brendan (Director’s Assistant and Lighting) and Diemmi (Stage Manager and Supertitle Operator). Most of the other singers in the production sing in the Los Angles Master Chorale and with the Los Angeles Opera Chorus.

The production, a fundraiser benefiting the Pasadena Schubertiade Youth Lieder Competition, will be performed at the Neighborhood Church, 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd. Pasadena.

The Waverly School, 67 W. Bellevue Drive, Pasadena, (626) 792-5940 or visit thewaverlyschool.org.
