Waverly’s Fourth Grader Siena M. is Among Top Ten Finalists for Tunnel Boring Machine Art Contest

Waverly fourth grader Siena M. entered a contest that was held citywide for the new metro tunnel that is being built through the Little Tokyo District. Children from elementary through high school across Los Angeles were asked to draw their city as they envision it, as they see it being transformed by the connection of the new tunnel. Siena’s art has made it to the top 10 finalists! Now it is up to the public to vote on their favorite artwork.

There is a link below so you can vote for Siena! When you go to the link there are two places you can click on, the tab on the top that says Vote for Art, or on the right hand side it says Tunnel Boring Machine Contests and under that choose art for a giant machine. Siena’s picture is the last one on the page. Hooray for Siena and hooray for Waverly artists!
