Westridge School Wins 3-1 vs Chadwick

From Coach Nick Hazell regarding Varsity Soccer vs. Chadwick:

“It’s always a good sign when the girls are singing the whole bus journey and they came out the blocks fast vs Chadwick. Captain Emma Hovanec opened the scoring off a Kaitlin Zareno cross before Summer Garrison hit the post with a rocket. In the second half the girls soon doubled the lead after a deflected Kaitlin Zareno cross. Chadwick pulled one back with a long range shot before Kaitlin Zareno finished off Makala Thomas’ fast counter attack to make it 3-1. The foundation for the win was the defensive block who not only defended very well but helped bring the ball out of the back with confidence. The team fought for each other from the very first whistle and played really good, smart soccer throughout to record their second league win on the bounce. It’s a great group of a girls and the coaches are really proud of their continued improvement.”
