Westridge’s First STEM Expo

Westridge School students recently hosted the first-ever Westridge STEM Expo!

With projects from Lower and Upper Schools’ Science Olympiad team, Robotics team, and the 3D Design class, the event drew over 300 people and raised $300 from a bake sale and plant sale to benefit The Campaign for Female Education (CamFed). Attendees stopped by various booths to make their own lava lamps and periodic table t-shirts, play science games, learn about rocketry and coding, and even eat liquid nitrogen-frozen ice cream!

Special thanks to organizers Ashley W. ’18 and Ashley Q. ’18 keynote speaker Professor Andrea Armani of USC, guest lecturer Professor Qin of USC, Westridge staff Cindy Martin and Erica St. John, and all the students who volunteered or presented their projects at the expo.
