What’s Cooking at Maranatha High School?

Recently we have had been tasting some delicious new entrees in the Minuteman Café. We are pleased to welcome new Chef Jason Francisco. Chef Jason was trained at Le Cordon Bleu and he has worked at many different restaurants and venues throughout his career. He was recognized by the National Restaurant Association for his competency in Human Resources Management and Supervision. In addition to his interest in cooking, Chef Jason is an army veteran from the Gulf War. He is also a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor’s in Accounting

Earlier in the year we were able to hire certified Pastry Chef, Lorelei Topalian. She will work alongside Chef Jason creating delicious desserts and pastries. Lorelei comes to us with an abundance of experience not only in the art of baking, but she is also a master decorator.

The kitchen team is made complete by our lovely ladies Etsuko Riordan, Katsuko Tani, and Iyen Boon. These wonderful ladies have served the Maranatha family for many years and patiently serve hundreds of students each and every day with kindness and a smile.
From farm to table, Chef Jason and his crew are looking to serve the finest and freshest foods to our Maranatha family.
