YWCA Pasadena Foothill Valley in Conjunction with Rising Stargirls Presents “The Universe and Me” An Astronomy and Art Workshop

YWCA Pasadena Foothill Valley in conjunction with Rising Stargirls presents “The Universe and Me” – An Astronomy and Art Workshop with UCLA/Harvard Astronomer and TED Fellow, Dr. Aomawa Shields on September 27 to October 20, (Tues/Thurs) 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Eliot Middle School (2184 N. Lake Ave., Altadena.

Created for girls ages 10-15, this workshop will explore constellations in the night sky, planets in and outside of the solar system, and the unseen mysteries of the universe. Participants will use writing, theater, visual art, and their own personal stories and lives to process what is learned and discovered. Bring your open minds, your unique backgrounds, and a sense of adventure! Email the attached enrollment sheet to Jomie Liu at jliu@ywca-pasadena.org to sign-up!

Girls who attend at least 6 workshop sessions will be entered into a raffle to win astronomy prizes!
