17-year-old Pasadena Resident Shot

Police are searching for a suspect or suspects in the shooting of a teenager as the victim was walking home past midnight Monday in Northwest Pasadena.

Pasadena Police Lt. Mark Goodman said the victim, a 17-year-old, was walking in the 1500 block of Mentone Avenue when he was shot and sustained a non-life threatening wound.

The incident happened at about 12:58 a.m. Tuesday police said.

“The victim said he was walking not too far from his residence when a vehicle pulled up and an unknown suspect shot him,” Goodman said. “He was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition.”

Goodman said officers are still investigating and have not identified any suspect as of the moment.
