The five suspects in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old Pasadena man on January 15 in a drug-involved robbery are scheduled for preliminary hearings Tuesday morning.
Peter Parra, 35, of Pasadena; Kevin Jessie Cabrera, 25, of North Hollywood; Raymond Frank Conchas, 23, of North Hollywood; and John Michael Piepoli Jr., 19, of Pasadena allegedly tried to rob Zane Goldstein during a drug deal, which ended up to the fatal shooting of the victim, the Pasadena Sun reported at the time.
The suspects will face charges of second degree robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime and penalty enhancements related to gang activity and use of a firearm. They are being held without bail, the Sun reported.
Also charged is Ward IV Lacey.
Parra, Cabrera, Conchas and Piepoli allegedly arranged to buy narcotics from Goldstein, but conspired to rob the victim. Cabrera reportedly lured Goldstein to an alley off Holliston Avenue and pointed a loaded shotgun at the victim, the newspaper reported.
Police found Goldstein with a shotgun wound to the head in a vehicle at the intersection of Chester Avenue and Maple Street, the newspaper reported.
Officers also arrested Ruby Yvette Conchas, 20, of Pasadena for alleged conspiracy to commit crime, and an unidentified 17-year-old boy, the newspaper reported.
At least seven people were initially arrested, but the others were released without charges, according to the Pasadena Patch.
