Feeling sluggish? Nothing a little exercise and a healthy diet can fix.

To help you jump-start a healthier lifestyle, join Bike 2013 on May 13-18 to get a taste of what it’s like to live healthy.

Real Food Daily, the award-winning organic vegan restaurant, will be part of the opening day festivities as one of the stops in “A Taste of Pasadena Ride” where C.I.C.L.E. will explore Pasadena’s tastiest bites through the Pasadena Playhouse restaurants, Real Food Daily and other foodie favorites.

The ride will start at Memorial Park on Raymond Ave. and Holly St. at 6:30 p.m. up to 9:30 p.m.

C.I.C.L.E. is an L.A. based bike advocacy non-profit that promotes cycling as a form of transportation, not only as a healthy alternative, but to make the environment better. The organization is the brains behind Bike Week 2013 where people learn about the proper riding techniques, safety guidelines, and the overall positive impact of biking.

The activities are spread out over six days and highlights will include the aforementioned “A Taste of Pasadena Restaurant Bicycle Tour” on the first day, along with the following:

Ladies Night Workshop and Ride (May 15, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.)

Bike to Work Pit-Stop (May 15, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.)

Bike Home From Work Shift Party (May 16, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)

Bike-In Movie Night May 17, 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)

Kids and Families’ Costumed Bicycle Parade with the Mayor (May 18, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

Everyone is invited to join, Dan Dabek or C.I.C.L.E. says, “the events are made for everyone. They don’t have to be super athletic, it’s just a great way to get started and to have fun in a leisurely pace. And we’re not asking people to give up driving, we’re just showing them that there are a lot of benefits to reducing some of the trips during the week and this is a good way to get started.”
