The Actors Youth Academy will host its First Actors/Actores Youth Academy Award Dinner at Essick House (Sierra Madre Woman’s Club) on Thursday, January 29, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

The black tie/cocktail event will be held to honor the academy’s current youth bilingual actors, as well as raise funds for student scholarships.

Guests will be able to enjoy not just dancing and other entertainment, but also a three-course meal with iced tea or coffee. A cash bar will also be onsite.

Admission is $45 for individuals and $80 for couples.

The Actors Youth Academy serves youth ages 5-25 years, who are interested in an acting career in film and TV.

The academy was created by a bilingual child actor’s mother who could not find an English/Spanish acting school for Film and TV where her son could practice his craft in both languages.

The institution opened its doors in October 2013 and is now a place where youth interested in bilingual acting can practice their scenes, monologues, commercials and improv in English, Spanish and Spanglish.

Essick House is located at 550 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre. For more information, call (626) 817-3050 or visit http://www.actorsyouthacademy.com.
