In observance of Women’s History Month, the Altadena Chamber of Commerce and Civic Association is teaming with Altadena Libraries to hold an online mixer next week in “celebration of the women-owned businesses,” the organization has announced.

The online meet-up, themed “Women Making a Difference,” is scheduled to take place via Zoom starting at 11 a.m. on March 13, according to the Altadena Chamber of Commerce. The event is being hosted in conjunction with the Altadena Libraries.

It will include introductions to many local women-owned establishments and endeavors, organizers said.

Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley Journal Publisher and Managing Editor Ruth Hopkins will serve as keynote speaker, the chamber said in a written statement. Webster’s Community Pharmacy owner Meredith Miller will also be a featured speaker.

Those interested in joining the online mixer were invited to register at tinyurl.com/ChamberWomen2021.

Additional information on the Altadena Chamber of Commerce is available on the organization’s website at altadenachamber.org.
