A pair of armed, masked robbers burst into El Cholo Restaurant in Paseo Colorado Monday night after closing time and made off with a “large sum of money,” Pasadena Police Lt. Tom Delgado said.
The pair tied up employees, then forced one to open the cash register, Delgado said.
No employees were injured, he said.
The two robbers wore masks and were armed. Both were Hispanic men, Delgado said. One is described as thin and short and the other was medium height with medium build.
Delgado said the robbers gained entrance about 11:45 p.m. by accosting an employee who opened the restaurant door to leave, and forced that employee back inside with them.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the case.
