Arrests Made for Graffiti, Heroin

A 20-year-old Pasadena man was arrested and booked by officers after allegedly committing acts of graffiti near the 600 block of N. Lake Ave., official said.

According to Lt. Russ, Erick Estrada was arrested at his home on the 500 block of N. El Molino shortly after 10 a.m. on Tuesday. He was reportedly arrested after officers received a report of defacing property along Lake Avenue corridor.

After officers completed a brief investigation, Russ said the arrest was made.

In other news, a parolee was arrested for possession of heroine on Tuesday afternoon during a compliance check.

Rene Torres, 34, was arrested by officers at his residence in the 1500 block of N. Navarro in Pasadena after a Neighborhood Action team discovered he was in possession of heroine during a parole compliance check, Russ said.

According to the lieutenant, Torres was on active parole, and possession of heroine is considered a violation.
