ArtCenter College of Design is set to host its New Student Orientation from Sept. 3 to 6, offering a mix of virtual and on-campus experiences. The event os designed to equip incoming students with essential information and opportunities for peer connections, according to College officials.

The College has two campuses in Pasadena: one in San Rafael Hill above Linda Vista and the second on South Raymond Avenue.

ArtCenter offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in disciplines such as industrial design, visual arts, and applied arts. It is known for its strong ties to industry and its focus on social impact initiatives. It is one of the few design schools to have received Non-Governmental Organization status from the United Nations.

The College has an enrollment of approximately 2,385 students, with a diverse student body representing more than 50 countries.

The orientation will launch with an online Q&A session featuring the Center for the Student Experience, on Sept. 3 at 9:00 a.m. This virtual meeting will address queries about student life and support services available at the college.

On Sept. 4, the focus shifts to in-person interactions with “Campus Connect” at 10:00 a.m. on South Campus. Students will have the chance to meet classmates, explore facilities, and hear a welcome address from ArtCenter’s President.

The “Pathways to Success: Leader Showcase” will take place at various locations on Sept. 5 at 2:00 p.m. This event allows new students to engage with Orientation Leaders, view their work, and gather advice on thriving in the ArtCenter environment.

The orientation concludes on Sept. 6 with campus tours scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.. Students can explore either the Hillside or South Campus, familiarizing themselves with their new academic surroundings.

Throughout the four days, participants will attend sessions on navigating campus resources, learning at ArtCenter, and connecting with peers.
