Pasadena Police announced today that an arrest has been made in the May 29 shooting death of Lancaster resident David Crosby, Jr. at the Atlantis Restaurant, 162. N. Sierra Madre Boulevard, in Pasadena.
The police investigation revealed that Dwayne Rice 26, from Pasadena, was involved in the murder of Crosby and fled the area, police said today.
Authorities say the motive for the shooting appears to be gang related.
After what police call “an exhaustive investigation” Rice was apprehended yesterday without incident by Pasadena Police Detectives and members of the Fugitive Apprehension Unit.
Rice was located at a residence in the 2300 block of North Waterman Avenue in the City of San Bernardino.
Rice has an extensive felony criminal history and is on active parole. Rice has been transported to the Los Angeles County Jail pending his arraignment and is being held without bail, police said in a statement.
