Las Encinas Hospital, with a special match grant from the KEBOK Foundation, awarded Rosemary Children’s Services $12,000.00 to help support its Mental Health Services programs. Las Encinas Hospital submitted a proposal to the KEBOK Foundation, on behalf of Rosemary Children’s Services, to further support local, health-related non-profits. The KEBOK Foundation, comprised of the owners of Aurora Behavioral Health hospitals, provided health-related charitable organizations of the hospital’s choosing with matching grants for limited amounts.

“There is a great need to provide quality mental health and family support services to adolescents in Pasadena,” said Jerry Conway, Chief Executive Officer for Aurora Las Encinas Hospital. “Rosemary Children’s Services’ mental health programs and services are in great demand, while financial support for services is challenging during these tough economic times. Rosemary Children’s Services was chosen by Las Encinas Hospital as the recipient of this award because of its long history of caring for the community, which aligns well with Las Encinas history.”

Founded by Dr. James McBride in 1904, Las Encinas Hospital is a California licensed, accredited acute psyhiatric hospital. In 2003, the hospital was purchased by Aurora Behavioral Healthcare, to follow in the path of excellence established by its founders. Las Encinas has 60 medical staff and allied healthcare professionals, 100 nurses, over 300 employees, and 118 beds. Recently, a $100M expansion, including a new 120 bed behavioral health hospital, new medical office buildings, senior independent and assisted living residences was approved by the City of Pasadena.
