Authorities Yet to Identify Body Found North of JPL

The authorities are still searching for clues that will help identify a man who was found dead by a hiker over the weekend on a hiking trail north of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Angeles National Forest.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was found by a hiker along the trail. Los Angeles County Coroner Lt. Larry Dietz said authorities are still trying to determine the cause of death, but this early, theorized the man might have died of hiking accident.

Sergeant Cynthia Gonzales of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station said the police do not know how long the body has been dead.

Gonzales said a hiker discovered the body at around 7:40 a.m. on Saturday and immediately contacted authorities.
