Hitting the road for a welcome day off today? It will cost just a bit more, like everything these days. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.678, one day after dropping two-tenths of a cent.
The average price is three-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but one-tenth of a cent more than one month ago and $1.341 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 3.8 cents since hitting the record high of $4.716 on Nov. 27.
According to Gas Buddy, the latest expensive gas being sold in Pasadena was $4.29 per gallon for regular at two different local locations, Garo Gas at 960 E. Washington Blvd. and Valero at 1600 E Washington Blvd.
Just slightly higher was the Ralphs station at 911 E. Washington Blvd., where regular gas was going for $4.32 a gallon.
