BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, which is located at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Marengo Avenue in Pasadena, will close its doors permanently on December 30.
The announcement was made by the restaurant’s management on BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse website.
“We are sorry to announce that our Pasadena location will be permanently closing on 12/30/2021,” the announcement read.
The restaurant, located in a historical building which used to be a bank, is just a block away from Old Pasadena. It opened in 2012.
The restaurant features award-winning handcrafted beers and offers a broad menu, including BJ’s signature deep-dish pizza and world-famous Pizookie dessert.
According to Yelp reviewers, the restaurant offers good food.
“The food was good as always,” David.K from California said. “But I wasn’t very impressed with the service.”
“Hopefully the small stuff could be fixed, because I do recommend the restaurant and would come back again.”
Penny Rosemead from California said her favorite are BJ’s Pizookie and handcrafted beers. She also liked the restaurant’s ambience.
“Our waitress was friendly and explained all the details behind their Happy Hour menu. The ambience of the restaurant felt old school.”
“High ceilings, dim lighting, and older decor of a past era. It was really interesting and since it’s an old bank building, it makes sense.”
It is still unknown as of this writing whether or not BJ’s owner is planning to move the restaurant to another location in Pasadena.
