Actress Cameron Diaz will present and sign her book titled “The Body Book” at Vroman’s Bookstore on Saturday, January 18, at 4:00 p.m.
Diaz will share her formula for becoming “happier, healthier and stronger” in the self-help book “that is grounded in science and inspired by personal experience.”
The 41-year-old entertainer who was born in Southern California said she was not health conscious when she was younger, but later realized the connection between nutrition and the body.
“The Body Book” claims to be grounded in science and offers a comprehensive overview of the human body and mind, from the cellular level up.
The book will also tackle demystifying the hype on food groups, the value of vitamins and minerals, and explain to readers how to “embrace the instinct of hunger and to satisfy it with whole, nutrient-dense foods.”
Diaz also explains the essential role of movement, the importance of muscle and bone strength, and why people need to sweat a little every day.
