Small businesses are vital to our communities and one of Arcadia’s most memorable business will be recognized for their community efforts this year. Matt Denny’s was chosen by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce to receive the Corporate Community Contributor of the Year Award.

“Small businesses are key to any community – they’re the driving force,” said Matt McSweeny, the owner of Matt Denny’s. They have been a local gathering spot for over 17 years and are conveniently located near the newly expanded Metro Gold Line.

“It’s very important for small businesses to be involved in the community…That’s what we’re trying to do here. We have a lot of family and we’re trying to build a family vibe here,” said McSweeny.

Matt Denny’s sponsors local sports teams, helps with fundraisers and throws community parties to many times each year. McSweeny describes Arcadia as a very positive and friendly community and looks forward to celebrating with his customers and friends.

“We are very blessed to be involved in the community and without all our great customers I wouldn’t be able to accept this award because the people that come in here allow me to donate back to the community,” he said.
