The City of Pasadena has announced the recruitment process for the City’s new Director of Rent Stabilization. Applications for the position are being accepted now, with screenings and interviews to take place in May 2024.

The public is encouraged to complete an online survey to provide input about the most important qualities potential candidates should have. Anyone who would like to offer input can do so online at Bit.ly/RentStabilizationDirector

“Community input is an especially valuable component in appointing the best individual to lead the newly established Department. I encourage all members of the community to share their thoughts on the characteristics and professional background they feel would be most important in the new Director,” states City Manager Miguel Márquez.

“The Rent Stabilization Director will have a significant impact on ensuring a healthy, affordable, and equitable rental housing environment for both tenants and landlords in Pasadena,” states Ryan Bell, Pasadena Rental Housing Board Chair. “The Board values the community’s input in this selection process to ensure we choose a leader who prioritizes fairness and effective communication for all stakeholders.”

The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, April 19, 2024.
