One day after city officials reiterated that the Rose Bowl loop was closed due to overcrowding, city officials tightened restrictions on activities and parking near the Rose Bowl.
“In light of the guidelines issued by Governor Gavin Newsom, the City of Los Angeles Health Department and the City of Pasadena to help stop the spread of COVID-19, the Rose Bowl Stadium, Rose Bowl Recreational Loop and Rose Bowl Parking Lots will be closed for all event and recreational operations until further notice,” a statement read.
Additionally, an official said the City of Pasadena, Pasadena Police Department and Rose Bowl Stadium have posted “No Parking” signs on the following streets to mitigate the overflow of parking in the Arroyo:
1. Seco from Mountain
2. Rosemont from Orange Grove
3. N. Arroyo Blvd. from Westgate
4. Rose Bowl Drive from N. Arroyo Blvd
5. Washington Blvd
6. Rosemont from the 210 exit (north side of the stadium)
7. Parkview Ave
8. Salvia Canyon Rd
9. Seco St. from Linda Vista Ave
10. Arroyo Blvd from the south (Lot I)
