The City of Pasadena is inviting residents to a presentation on concepts for a hydrogen fueling station as part of its transition to a zero-emission bus fleet.
Two community outreach meetings, described as a “Concept Review and Project Information Meeting,” are scheduled for Tuesday, August 27, and Thursday, September 19, at 6:30 p.m.
The sessions will be held at the Boys and Girls Club, located at 3230 East Del Mar Boulevard in East Pasadena.
The meetings will present the project’s background for a proposed hydrogen fueling station being considered at 159 South Kinneloa Avenue.
Pasadena is actively pursuing the transition to a zero-emission bus fleet. This initiative aligns with California’s mandate requiring all transit agencies to transition to zero-emission buses by 2040.
City officials say the project will help combat climate change and improve local air quality.
The Public Works and Transportation Departments are spearheading the effort. Residents who want more information can contact the Engineering Division at PasadenaTransit.H2Station@cityofpasadena.net.
Those needing accessibility accommodations are advised to contact (626) 744-7311 or CSC@cityofpasadena.net. Providing at least 72 hours advance notice will help ensure availability.
