Clear Today, Rain Tomorrow

Much cooler temperatures are expected over the weekend as an area of low pressure begins to move over the Pasadena area starting late Sunday. Cloudy skies will be the harbinger of light rain Sunday and Monday. Then dry and cool weather is expected Tuesday through Thursday of next week, forecasters at the National Weather Service predicted

Although Saturday skies should be mostly sunny, the temperature will drop a bit to 64 degrees, they said.

Clouds will sweep in later Saturday and by Sunday morning some drizzle or light rain may develop in Pasadena. On average, NWS forecasters said, expect one-tenth to one-third of an inch of precipitation across the region.

Rain will linger through Monday afternoon.  Pasadena will experience a 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before 4 p.m. It will become partly sunny later Monday, according to the NWS.

Tuesday will be sunny but chilly — topping out at just 59.

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 46. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. South southwest wind around 5 mph.

Sunday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 55. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain before 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 59.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 68.
