Cold Rain in the Forecast for Pasadena Through Sunday

Two storms are expected to pass through parts of Los Angeles County, the first arriving Thursday and the second expected on Saturday, according to reports from the National Weather Service. 

Temperatures will drop, with Pasadena expected to see a high of just 55 on Thursday.

Forecasters say the first storm system will enter Los Angeles County Thursday morning with moderate to heavy rains at times and make its way out of the region on Friday.

A second storm will arrive on Saturday with light rain through Sunday. Dry weather is expected next week with cooler temperatures.

Snow levels are expected to be at 6,000 feet and 3 to 6 inches are expected above 7,000 feet in the mountain areas.

Showers are expected to taper off by early Sunday afternoon with clearing skies. The NWS expects total precipitation in Pasadena to end up being 0.5 to 1 inches.

Dry weather is expected next week but with cooler than normal temperatures, according to NWS forecasters.

Monday to Wednesday are expected to be cold with light winds and plenty of sunshine.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 4 pm. Cloudy, with a high near 55. Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Rain, mainly after 10 pm. Low around 48. East southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10 am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming east northeast in the evening.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66.

Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Sunday: A chance of rain, mainly before 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
