Controversial Harvest Rock Church Pastor’s Podcast Debuts on Major Media Platforms

Pastor Che Ahn of Harvest Rock Church in Pasadena, perhaps best known for taking his fight against Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID-19 restrictions on in-person worship to the U.S. Supreme Court, launched a new podcast today, Feb. 3, called “Truth Talks with Pastor Che,” in partnership with Charisma Media.

“Truth Talks with Pastor Ché” is recorded live from Sunday morning sermons at Harvest Rock Church and provides listeners with biblical insights and personal stories, according to a report appearing on digitaljournal.com.

The podcast can be heard on YouTube, Spotify, Google and Spotify.

Last year, Ahn gained national notoriety when, after being threatened by Pasadena officials with the possibility of fines and possible arrest for holding in-person worship services, he and his attorney Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel sued Newsom to allow congregants to gather inside the church in Ambassador Auditorium in West Pasadena.

The case was twice rejected by a U.S. District Court judge, and it was rejected twice by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Today, it has reached the Supreme Court for a second time.

The first time, the High Court remanded the case back to the original district court to reconsider its merits, which it did, and came to the same prior judgment. This time, Supreme Court Associate Justice Elena Kagan has ordered Newsom to respond to the church’s latest request for a preliminary injunction to allow Harvest Rock Church members to worship indoors and in person.

Ahn has authored numerous books, including “Say Goodbye to Powerless Christianity,” “How to Pray for Healing,” “The Grace of Giving,” “God Wants to Bless You!” and “Modern-Day Apostles.”
