Councilmember John Kennedy Releases Thanksgiving Day Letter of Offering Encouragement and Thanks

Published on Thursday, November 25, 2021 | 12:11 pm

Dear Friend and Neighbor,

Thanksgiving is a kind invitation to bestow the world with more love and gratitude. I encourage you to celebrate and cherish what brings us together as we face one of the most difficult Thanksgiving in recent memory in the City of Pasadena. We say a special prayer for all who have experienced any form of violence, particularly gun violence.

It is that time of the year again when we gather around the table with our families and friends and pause to reflect on all that is a blessing in our lives. This year, in addition to family and friends, I am thankful for the privilege to serve our community. It is an honor to work with dedicated constituents, colleagues, staff, interns, volunteers and supportive family members.

Thanksgiving gives us the opportunity to be grateful for the gifts we have received. Let us be mindful and helpful to those less fortunate and struggling in our neighborhood, city and yes, our country. Thanksgiving is a call for us to rededicate ourselves, in our own unique way, to make a meaningful difference in the lives of members of our communities who face challenges.

May the gratitude and magic of this day serve to fill your hearts and lift your spirits. Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday!

Kindly,

John J. Kennedy

Councilmember, District 3
