Mobile Command Post Curbside Coffee & Chat in Lot “K” of the Rose Bowl this Monday, September 30th, 2013 from 9am-11am.

Be on the lookout for the Pasadena Police Department’s Mobile Command Post Curbside Coffee & Chat. Pasadena Police Officers assigned to Patrol, Park Safety and the Community Services Neighborhood Outreach Unit will be on hand to provide citizens with Crime Prevention Tips in an effort to deter vehicle and residential burglaries in the area of the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl is a popular destination for walking, jogging and bicycling. It’s a great place to enjoy the outdoor experience, be it playing sports or a picnic under the trees. Parked cars can often become the target of thieves, particularly when left unattended with valuables in plain sight. In a concerted effort to prevent crime and educate our citizens, the PPD will host an informational Mobile Command Post Curbside Coffee & Chat in Lot “K” of the Rose Bowl this Monday, September 30th, 2013 from 9am-11am.

The Mobile Command Post is being utilized as a highly visible and recognizable platform from which to host informational curbside coffee & chats with residents in neighborhoods throughout Pasadena. These informal meetings allow for neighbors and their children to step out of their homes and to be greeted at the curbside by uniformed officers operating the Mobile Command Post. It’s an excellent opportunity for those visiting the Rose Bowl to socialize and meet with officers and our police volunteers while sharing information that can drive enforcement efforts and deter crime.

The Mobile Command Post has been deployed into many neighborhoods thus far and has been enthusiastically received by the community.
