Witness Keven McDaniels spoke to RMG News minutes after the incident.
“There was a fella that came through here, he was stabbing a couple of Mexican guys, and then they ran from him through the gas station. I had a patron placing an order and as he went back to his car, the guy came over and demanded money from him with scissors in his hand. It looked like he was trying to stab him as well. He crossed the street to the other gas station and by that time the sheriffs showed up. They didn’t tell him what to do. He had his hands up and turned around. Then he just started running down the street,” McDaniels said.
Pasadena police and CHP were at the scene assisting with crowd control and containment, as multiple family members of the suspect became belligerent with the officers, according to RMG News.
The suspect’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
