A driver died and his passenger was hospitalized in critical condition after their car flew off the 210 Freeway in Pasadena, rolled over numerous times and came to a stop in the front yard of a home along Lincoln Avenue on Friday night, officials said.
The crash took place about 8 p.m. along the westbound 210 Freeway, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.
The vehicle careened off the freeway and rolled over numerous times after landing along Lincoln Avenue, according to Pasadena city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
It came to rest in the front yard of a home in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue, about 100 yards north of the freeway, officials said.
Paramedics pronounced the driver of the unrecognizable vehicle, initially described as a man in his 30s, dead at the scene, Kimball said.
A passenger of the car was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Derderian said. No further description of the badly injured passenger was available.
No further details were available as the investigation continued Friday night.
