Today, the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation announced ESPN’s Emmy-award winning Holly Rowe as the Master of Ceremonies for the Rose Bowl Party of the Century presented by Western Asset set to take place on August 13, 2022 on Spieker Field at the Rose Bowl. Rowe is one of the industry’s most versatile commentators and has celebrated more than 20 years at ESPN.
Rowe is a reporter on a number of high-profile events and programming – ABC Saturday Night Football, Big Monday men’s college basketball, Women’s Final Four, Women’s College World Series, NCAA indoor and beach volleyball national championships and the WNBA. She led the network’s sideline coverage for the 2022 Rose Bowl Game between her alma mater Utah against Ohio State.
The Party of the Century, which will celebrate the 100th birthday of America’s Stadium will welcome over 1,000 guests and will include celebrities, a red carpet, fireworks, a flyover, music from Matt Mauser and the Pete Jacobs Band, a one-of-a-kind experiential auction, plated dinner, and dancing amidst a 1920s theme. Limited tickets are still available at www.PartyoftheCentury.org.
Covering a wide variety of sports for ESPN, Rowe joined the network full time in August 1998 after appearing on select ESPN telecasts in 1997 and ABC Sports in 1995-96. Rowe has also provided play-by-play commentary for women’s college basketball, softball, volleyball and gymnastics. In addition, Rowe has covered soccer, swimming, track & field and the Little League World Series of baseball and softball for ESPN.
VIP attendees to the Party of the Century will also gain access to a pre-party speakeasy experience presented by Mickey and Lee Segal, Rusnak Auto Group and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
“Holly is one of the most respected and professional public voices of sports in this country, said Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Chief Development Officer Dedan Brozino. “She’s walked these sidelines and has covered some of the most memorable events in the Rose Bowl Stadium, so to have her set the tone for an evening of celebration is so appropriate. We are excited to welcome her back.”
