Firefighters made quick work of a fire that broke out at a homeless encampment along the 210 Freeway in Pasadena on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The fire was first reported about 4:15 p.m. at an encampment along the westbound side of the freeway near Madre Street, according to city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
Firefighters extinguished the flames within about 20 minutes, she said. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
