George Falardeau Hired as New Executive Director CEO of Pasadena Community Access Corporation

Mr. George Falardeau, long-time community leader and former Senior Vice President of Pasadena’s ArtCenter College of Design, has been appointed Executive Director CEO of Pasadena Community Access Corporation (PCAC).

PCAC Board Chair and President Gail Schaper-Gordon announced Mr. Falardeau’s appointment following a nationwide search by the PCAC Board of Directors from more than 100 applicants. The PCAC Board approved Mr. Falardeau’s contract at its regular board meeting Oct. 4, 2016. Mr. Falardeau began his new duties effective October 10, 2016.

“We are delighted to have Mr. Falardeau as our next Executive Director CEO,” Schaper-Gordon said.

“He’s the right candidate at the right time to help PCAC establish a higher level of visibility within the community and to help increase our fund development capabilities.”

Mr. Falardeau brings a wide range of experience to PCAC. As the Senior Vice President, ArtCenter College of Design, he helped the college increase its presence in Pasadena by expanding operations along Raymond Avenue. He is also a former Vice President of NBC-TV in Burbank, California, where he received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Technical Direction and Camera Work—along with 11 other nominations in the same category.

“I am honored by the selection and look forward to advancing the goals of Pasadena Media as a champion of free speech and community cable access,” Mr. Falardeau said.

He previously served on the PCAC Board of Directors, including time as Board Chair and President. He is the former Board Chair of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Southern California Gas Company Community Advisory Committee. A long-time community member, Mr. Falardeau is also a member of the Pasadena Rotary Club.

He attended USC -Managerial Policy Institute, Harvard University-Crisis Leadership, and Orange Coast College. He is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a member of the American Legion.
