Police seized two unserialized “ghost guns” during two separate encounters with ex-convict gang members in Pasadena on Friday, authorities said.

The first arrest took place about 7:40 a.m in the area of Raymond Avenue and Woodbury Road, Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess said.

Officers spotted a man slumped over inside a parked car and stopped to check on him, he said.

They contacted the man and determined he was OK, but also discovered he was a convicted felon and known gang member in possession of a loaded, unserialized handgun, according to the lieutenant.

Brian Alexander Brown, 33, of Pasadena, was arrested on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, according to police and Los Angeles County booking records.

The second arrest took place just after 8 p.m. after police pulled over a car for a traffic violation at Hammond Street and Summit Avenue, he said.

A woman driving the car was found to be unlicensed and was issued a citation, Burgess said.

But a passenger in the car, identified as 53-year-old parolee and gang member Larry Thomas Fuller, was found to have a loaded, unserialized handgun with an extended magazine under his seat, officials said.

Fuller was also arrested on suspicion of weapon-related violations.

According to county booking records, Brown was released from custody hours after his arrest after posting a $35,000 bond.

Fuller was being held without bail pending his initial court appearance.

Fuller’s prior convictions in Los Angeles County include possession of drugs for sales, transportation of drugs and drug possession in 2014; transportation of drugs in 2012; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in 2007; and domestic battery in 2006, according to L.A. County Superior Court records. He was also convicted of drug offenses three times, as well as possession of an illegal weapon, between 1998 and 2004.
