The Kennedy family announces Glenda June Kennedy’s transition to glory on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. She was born June 1, 1965, in Los Angeles, California to the late Thomas Foster and the late Leola Sudduth Kennedy.

Glenda was blessed to have a twin sister Gladys Joy Kennedy who preceded her in death. Glenda grew up and attended schools in Pasadena, California. She attended San Rafael Elementary School, Cleveland Elementary School, McKinley Jr. High School, and Blair High School. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was a faithful member of Lincoln Avenue Christian Church where she attended with our mother for over 35 years. She had a love for life and dedicated herself to service of others in need. You could not find a sweeter person than Glenda. She loved nature and spent considerable time enjoying God’s natural beauty. When seeking advice, she was very thoughtful and wise in selecting her words to give wisdom.

We will miss her presence, yet we rejoice that her journey on earth is complete, and she is at rest. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8.

The Kennedy Family requests that you join us for a memorial service at Lincoln Avenue Christian Church, 1180 N. Lincoln Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91103 at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2022, with Pastor Wayne C. Cooper presiding. The repast will immediately follow at Lincoln Avenue Christian Church.

Our Glenda is survived by her sisters: Geraldine Sudduth Kennedy; Sharon Rose Billingslea; Rosalinda Foster Spratling; Lena Louise Kennedy; and Elizabeth Ray Ellis (Redell); her brothers: Malcolm Eichenberger Kennedy; and John Jackson Kennedy; sister-in-law Faye Kennedy; thirty-eight nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Glenda was preceded in death by her brother Michael Thomas Kennedy, her sister Sharon’s husband Elder Jack Billingslea, and her brother Malcolm’s wife Elizabeth Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family trust: The Leola Sudduth and Thomas Foster Kennedy Scholarship Fund; and make checks payable to Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) with an indication of Kennedy Fund in the memo; please mail checks to PCF, 301 E. Colorado Blvd., Suite 810, Pasadena, CA 91101. Online donations can be made via PCF’s website at www.pasadenacf.org where you may select the Kennedy Fund. All donations are tax deductible.

Glenda’s sweet spirit will forever bring joy and comfort to our hearts.
