A duo officials think may have been veteran serial mailbox burglars were arrested by Pasadena police Monday after several alert citizens reported the pair.

Lt. Pete Hettema said calls started coming in to police about 11 p.m. Callers described a man and a woman stealing mail, he said.

Callers described the suspects’ vehicle. Arriving officers found the car, with the suspects inside it, about a block north.

The car was also reported stolen in Los Angeles.

Officers took the couple into custody without incident.

“Search of the suspect’s vehicle found multiple items of mail, including vehicle registrations, EBT cards, driver’s licenses, and burglary tools,” Hettema reported. “An additional nine other victims were identified.”

Both suspects were booked for burglary, identity theft and grand theft auto.

Hettema identified the pair as Aranza Nicole Pinacho, 24, and Carlos Sanchez, 20, both Los Angeles residents.

Pinacho remains in custody in lieu of $90,000 bail in the Pasadena City Jail,

Sanchez also is in the Pasadena City Jail in lieu of $55,000 bail, according to online booking records.
