Once again this holiday season Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services – a leader in behavioral health, providing care and support services to the most vulnerable youth in Los Angeles County and beyond – is pleased to share that their longstanding Adopt-A-Family program is in full swing spreading holiday cheer. The program matches caring donors with some of the most deserving families who need extra support, including gifts of toys, clothing, household items and food during the holidays. According to Hathaway-Sycamores President and CEO Debra Manners, the Adopt-A-Family program is needed more than ever this year. “As the current health crisis persists, our families are struggling to meet their daily needs,” said Debra Manners. “For many of our families, providing gifts for their children is well beyond their reach,” Ms. Manners added.
It is on behalf of these struggling families that Hathaway-Sycamores is reaching out and asking caring members of the community – including individuals, businesses, and other groups – to help brighten the holidays by adopting a family. Families with the greatest need across all 10 of the agency’s locations are chosen to participate in this program. If you would like to provide some holiday magic for vulnerable children and families by participating in Hathaway-Sycamores’ Adopt-A-Family program, please contact Melissa Pittson at firstname.lastname@example.org or (626) 395-7100 ext. 2018. Hathaway-Sycamores will provide a short story about the family and their current circumstances, as well as a wish list, giving donors insight into the families’ needs. The generous support Hathaway-Sycamores receives from the community is critical to making a difference in the lives of children and families and to provide them with a memorable holiday celebration.
